Fruit Purees

Apple and Cinnamon Puree 

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 15-20 minutes

Makes: 1 small jar

Ingredients: 

  • 3 red apples, peeled, cored and roughly chopped
  • 100ml water
  • 2 tbsp honey/ agave syrup/ maple syrup
  • Tsp ground cinnamon

Method: 

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a pan.
  2. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15- 20 minute until the apples are soft.
  3. Use a blender to achieve desired consistency. If you are using a stick blender I would suggest using a tall jug to blend so that the puree doesn’t go everywhere.
  4. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Peach and ginger puree 

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 15-20 minutes

Makes: 1 small jar

Ingredients: 

  • Tin of peaches, reserve the juice
  • 2tbsp honey/ agave syrup/ maple syrup
  • 2 tsp ginger

Method:

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a pan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15- 20 minute until the peaches are soft.
  2. Use a blender to achieve desired consistency. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
